Still kind of sad. After all these months of his little speeches about tolerance, freedom, humanity... just a common boor.

I like how it's five pages of guys saying how hot (s)he is, and they cannot tell it's a boy. I'd like to somehow work that into a pun about low birth-rates, but I can't, so I'll leave it at that.

There is a very interesting book titled "The Path To Remittance" which includes short stories of mainly maids working in Singapore written by a Filipino maid herself. It is available for about $15 from Kinikoniya and also at Select Books. You should read that and it will give you some ideas regarding how they find boy friends, why they come here, how recruitment agents exploit them and so on. I suppose you should look at doing short video-dramas instead of documentaries. Where you may be able to get Film students from La Salle or Ngee Ann poly to act out the characters as part of their course work.

Didn't I say I was surprised how little-read some are in here?
Pictures convey powerful meanings, and if seen by those un-informed, they can easily be jump to groundless conclusions, as we have found out with my little litmus test.
Strange, why does one wanna shoo folks away when they are trying to engage you?
Other than the Sunhaven near-fatal incident between 2 foreigners, I am not aware of any "foreign prostitute" falling off HDB buildings recently.
Can you provide me the source?
1-day days will increase crime rate in Singapore? Well the signs are there even before the latest 1-dayoff rule.
Some NGO even hinted need to increase social service for maids

Aparantly the FT cannot tell the difference whether the Pinoy lady boy is a lady or a boy...
Oh, and it seems our friend Manthink is the instigator of this rumour! hahahaha.

Construction workers living on Construction Sites (Covid-19)

They are now on a 28 day (14+14) stay-at-home notice.
Are these homes regulated? Do you think it matters / impacts spread of COVID?
Last post
Yes - I see them around me. I'd rather they were there than stuffed into dorms. Physical distancing is very important to stop the spread.
Sorry,...
