As someone mentioned, check to see if your company is part of the Microsoft partner employee program. I got MS office pro 2010 and Visio 2010 for around S$70 each through that program.
Failing that, one of the main retailers should do like Challenger, Courts, Best Denki although you will pay top dollar. Sim Lim is likely to be the same.
Just slightly off topic, is linking to stores price lists outside of the no advertising rules. Just asking as a number of times I have purposely not done it to avoid the no advertising rules. If it is not an issue them it makes answering a bit easier for some topics.

Without dialogues, if you tell them you want something real bad, you will get it real bad.

As long as you have no financial interest in the store, and as long as it is in direct response to a relevant post I don't see any issue with it. (e.g., you own shop or you are getting commissions from leads/sales)

Let's put it another way. We love recommendations and links to same. However, if you are recommending your own company (employer or owner) it is NOT a recommendation but rather a solicitation/advertisement. One can only recommend what one has used successfully.

Sure, I understand and I appreciate your position and the amount of work you put in here trying to make sure the rules are upheld
. Just sort of frustrating not being able to advise because I also happen to retail some of the items (advising for the last 20 years, retailing only since Sept).
An example would be a person asking for recommendations for bits to build a home server. I know that Intel do a great mini server motherboard, takes ECC ram and an i3 or E3 Xeon CPU etc which would be perfect for the use but I also believe it is not stocked in SLS being that it is newly released and a niche product. I can order it from the local distributors but I cannot advise where to buy in Singapore as, to my knowledge, I am the only place
.
VR-Zone ran a fairly good system where they had business user accounts until recently. People can pay a nominal subscription in order to gain the rights suggest their own products if people are asking for advice and to advertise in the classifieds section. Subscribers get a special tag so users can see they have a vested business interest in what they are suggesting. The system was stopped for unspecified reasons (undeclared profits maybe
) and now anyone can advertise with the resulting mess that has created.
Anyway, if there is any merit then maybe we can take this outside of this thread as I fear I have veered it off course far enough already (sorry OP)

If you will but look at the stickies in some of the forums here on this board, you will see that they are corporate in nature. These are part of an advertising package that would give you a banner advert here as well as a Stickie in the forum of your choice (this one most likely). After your stickie advert is in place (one of the admins will do the initial placement). After that, as long as you remain in 'your' stickie you are welcome to expound or add to it or answer questions to your hearts delight. What you cannot do is post in other threads to direct readers to that stickie.
For further information I would suggest you either PM Joop or Pal for further info & rates.
