SAIS

Post by PrimroseHill » Tue, 21 Feb 2012 7:27 pm

Queries for SAIS parents. My daughter is in a London COGNITA School and have managed to get into SAIS another COGNITA school in Singapore, which is fantastic news. This means that the one-off registeration fees can be transferred from her London school to the Singapore school.
I have 2 concerns - (a) my daughter will be joining in April after their Spring Break holidays, that means that she will only be in school until 8 June before the school breaks up for the academic year, yet the school plans to charge an entire semester fees and not pro-rated. (b) middle school - are their ethos and the school ambience still the same as the younger years?

My daughter is currently been accepted to DC and waiting to hear from OFS.

Yes, but didn't you also say you don't have to pay registration fees again? Likely coming out about even, I'd guess. If you liked it in London why not remain in SAIS instead of OFS? I think you'll find a better campus at SAIS. Can't speak to the academics.

I think having the application fee waived and having to only pay for the semester fee, personally I dont think this is a bad idea! The teachers are great, and are super helpful! I bet if you add up what you will be paying at OFS or DC (where ever that is), wont even come close to one semester fee at SAIS! Im a parent at SAIS and if you want to talk I can always try to help you.
