Starting a company in Singapore and the Visa

Post by emunozto » Tue, 21 Feb 2012 3:41 pm

I have a doubt about my situation.
I will create a company and my intention is to take the business away. Which means that I will not apply to any visa because I travel a lot. But then, to control some of the business often, I'll be in Singapore for 2 weeks per month and I'll go abroad frequently. (I will travel 2 times per month).
My question is: Will I have problems with immigration if I go often to singapore? I have a "short term" and it's is renewed each time for 90 days.

If you know any real case, please let me know.

Thank you very much for your help

Yep, you will have problems. I think you already know this as well.

No! I don' know. This is the reason because I'm asking!!
I know that if I go to Singapore to do business is ok but I need to know real cases like me.

Thanks for your response.

This is two fold.

1. You need valid work Pass to operate business in Singapore

2. You need to register a businsss in order to operate as a foreigner

Like SMS said, if you are going in and out of SG every two weeks, it will raise eyebrows at border control and you will be in trouble. A standard SVP only allows you 30 days up to 90 days on a single trip . If you do visa runs ever so often then you will be suspected of working illegally here
