Is it possible for an EP/PEP holder to extend a visitors short-term visit pass online? I thought I saw something on the EPOL site to do this when I applied for my PEP. Of course can't check right now, as this "online" service has hours of operation shorter than the local Starbucks.
I see an equivalent service on ICA's site, but it requires an SC or PR to sponsor.

Surely the SVP holder can do it themselves?

Oh right, but they need to list a SC or PR sponsor. Unless I'm looking at the wrong website?

http://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid= ... ligibility for Online Applications
I have to say I find the following requirement a little unclear...
'You will require a local sponsor* if you are seeking an extension of short term Visit Pass to 89 days from the date of entry or if you are a National of the countries tabled below:-'
Does this mean that if you entered and got a 30 day SVP, and wish to e-extend it for another 30, or in fact up to 58 days for an aggregate stay of 88 days you do not need a sponsor?

Oh yeah, I got there too. I interpreted the 30 day thing to only be useful for those who received less than a 30 day chop on arrival. Even then, if you actually click the 30 day option, it asks for your sponsor.
Original plan was Batam; looks like it is still going to be the case..

And to any future visitors, no, EP/PEP can't do it. The extension on EPOL is only for those extending their own passes if their WP is pending.
