i think the mixed crew, like what luohan said u need to have the "unrestricted right to live and work in the UK". i guess its for EU citizens.

did you ask if really selected, are they going to apply working visa for you?

but i still think its not for us. we have a singapore based BA cabin crew here.

but if you are flying to london for the interview, you got to calculate how much expense you are spending for the interview. nevertheless, i wish you all the best and good luck :)

I have asked. They said it is not restricted to EU citizens because Singapore passport can enable u to go to any country without visa. Except Myanmar and some others. Working visa will be applied by them. Yup i know we have SIN based BA CC here. But apparently not many and we fly lesser routes here. Mixed fleets allows for short and long haul flights international and regional.

Travel visa is different from working visa. if you are employ by BA to be based in London, you need a working visa as you are working and getting a monthly salary.

From what i read before, the BA in UK only fly within UK for a few years before flying international routes.

However, maybe times have change now, but i am not sure.

But just think, do you think its worth it to fly over for interview and if really shorlisted, everything you have to pay for yourself while working there, even accomodation and stuffs.

The US visa is meant for people who need to apply for visa to USA when u go there. As CC you won't be spending more than 5 days there. SG passport allows us to stay in USA up to 30 days.

They will apply for working visa for you if you are based in LHR.

I don't intend to fly over. I am just sharing what the information that i have gotten from BA.

Mixed Fleet CC

Forgot to add that if your passport requires US visa, you have to pay for it yourself.

erh, i am talking about Working visa and Travel visa, the difference between two. working visa is needed in whatever country you are working in when you are not the citizen. not talking about US travel visa.

but anyway, thanks for sharing.

from what i read before (3 years ago), they sld be only employing EU citizens, the unrestricted right to live and work in UK. but again, maybe times have change now.

i shall stop flooding this thread as it for the BA sg based crew.

good luck to everyone who went for the 2nd round! do update if can

It was actually the same activity as mentioned in the old ba thread..
be in groups whereby a topic will be assigned and to be discussed in groups. You will b observed by at least 2 interviewers.. Then there will be some simple maths test like time zone, currency conversions. There will also be a sharing by Base manager.. :D

Heard they selected 4 out of the 8 who went through the final round.
Ask Nicholas. I heard he is successful. He and 3 others (girls) will start their training in mid-May.
Congrats to all 4! :D
