does a batch means 9 or 18?

there were 2 groups of which 3 each got in, so 6 in total for Thurs 3pm timeslot.

kindachi, r u Dxxxxx from Thurs 3pm batch?

If I remember correctly, the number of hrs they count starts from the time the crew depart sg to arrival in sg? Correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks!
