thank you so much! :) Yes I have finally decided to wear a top with a skirt and a comfy formal blazer. Oh yes can the hopefuls today share what are the translation and the overall interview like? Very relieved to hear that its a fun and friendly interview. Do we speak to a group to self introduce or one by one?

I don't think I did very well either but yes they were all very nice and friendly.. But the lady told me that the translation is only to gauge our level.. Although I don't know to believe her a not...

I think its true that the translation is to gauge our language proficiencies cos they are looking for bilingual crew.
Thats why they have this segment.

But i also think they will judge other stuff like behaviour, grooming, communication skills etc :)

BA Sin based cabin crew 2012

Post by MsSleepy » Fri, 29 Jun 2012 6:19 pm

Hi all,

firstly, to those cabin crew wannabies out there who got shortlisted by BA earlier. Congrats for the pulling through the first round.

I was one of the shortlisted candidates and went for my interview earlier today. Yup, as mentioned by most in the same forum, the interviewers were friendly and they made the whole recruitment process really relaxed as compared to Silkair and SQ.

Surprisingly, the candidates were not alot, this is the first time i have seen so little candidates.

I have the pleasure of meeting very nice, vibrant, energetic individuals (all i guess are in their early to mid 20s). I am in 30s.haha

I believed for those who went through the same interview would have been shot by the translation portion.

Geez, i didnt realised my Mandarin has deterioatred so badly!

I am sure the interviewers had a good laugh listening to all funny versions of the inflight announcement.

Overall, this has been the most pleasent CC interviews i have attended and I am really blessed and grateful to been give this shot (in case i dont pull through).

Like , what i shared with some of the fellow candidates. This has been a great experience especially when i have made this my last shortlisted interview at the age of 30.

For those who have tried, keep trying, you never know what happens!

Good luck to all!

ps : sorry for the typo errors!

congrats and all the best to everyone! :)

don't worry about the age, BA is not strict about it, as long as you are suitable for it, age doesn't matter.

i went for the interview before and meet candidates who are like 36, 38, and even one guy who is 41!

i am in my 30s too. but can't apply this time round cos i went for the interview in march this yr.
