Food, yoga, interior design courses in Sing?

Post by Vany » Wed, 01 Dec 2004 5:58 pm

Hi there,

I will move to Singapore mid january. Anybody knows of good food, yoga or other courses? I heard there are plenty of interesting and cheap ones. I also plan to take a full time interior design course, I find some in Palin School or Art and Design and Raffles Lasalles Institutes so far. If you have heard about them (what's their reputation?) please let me know!

Also if you have studied in Sing, what are the requirements to study? (student pass, etc.)

THANKS!

Vanessa

Palin school - avoid

Post by Vanyh » Mon, 04 Apr 2005 3:44 pm

Thanks for the info but if there is one design school to avoid, that's the one you mentioned. On top of the trouble I had myself with them, some friends studying there are complaining about the teaching and the run down place.
For second opinion - if needed - check this site: http://www.sgwebmasterforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=320, page 1 and 2.
(see cute_punya comments: "I do have a few students from there wanting to transfer over due to some reasons which I do not think I will say it out ." and "Palin-registered with MOE but not its courses, so be warned. Courses are conducted by unqualified lecturers")

Page 1 is listing other design schools you may want to have a look at before deciding which school to go to.
