9 in a Honda Fit ? I give up ..nutnut wrote: I saw 9 people get out of a honda fit, that only takes 2 motorcycle spaces, is that ok?
Motorcycles will be ticketed for parking in car lots... the only place this won't happen is in private lots... HDB, URA, LTA... whack.nutnut wrote:Just to be devils advocate, I don't do this, but why shouldn't a guy in a 7 seater car with 7 people in it park in 6 motorcycle bays? What good reason is there othert ahn the fact "it's allocated to motor cycles" it's utilising the same space as motorbikes holding potentially fewer people?Strong Eagle wrote:I'd add... parking in the motorcycle lots.
I have seen motorcycles parked in car lots before also.
I have to agree, the demographic for those in MC spaces are normally self important pricks! I wasn't aware that motorcycles were not allowed to park elsewhere?!?! I won't park my BMW in them any more, unless of course I may get it scratched.Strong Eagle wrote:Motorcycles will be ticketed for parking in car lots... the only place this won't happen is in private lots... There is already not enough motorcycle parking and when a self important turd takes the MC spaces, bikes must park elsewhere... and guess what? Parking anywhere other than the MC spaces yields a ticket.
Besides, I've never seen a 7 seater with 7 people in it parked in the motorcycle spaces... it's usually a turd with a BMW 320i who doesn't want to get it scratched.

X9200, SE, I fully agree, that's exactly my view. If I block someone, no problem to be reported. But in my case it's around 7-8 AM in an empty side road in Orchard area, nobody is impeded. And exactly this self appointed sheriff's are a thorn in my side. But anyway, I can't change their behaviour, I only can change mine. Will try other parking places in future, let's see if a love letter comes in.Strong Eagle wrote: Ya know, it really depends on the severity of the offense. If someone is temporarily parked on a double yellow line, and traffic is not impeded, then who needs a self appointed parking nazi with a mobile phone camera to turn in the 'offender'?
On the other hand, if traffic is blocked, or the flow is impeded, then auch action would be warranted... like people parking on narrow roads forcing traffic into the other lane.
Nope, no more walking option.ecureilx wrote:I love bikes, except those days when I used to walk from JB to Woodlands, jumping out of the bus, the thousands of bikes + pollution .. damn .. thank God they took out the walking option now .. or do they allow it ? havent' gone across to JB by bus 11 for a while ..
