SAIS v/s SAS

Post by Concerned Mom » Sat, 04 Feb 2012 12:31 am

Can anyone give me any comparison between SAS v/s SAIS? Any information will be very helpful. My son finishes his kindergarten by the end of this year & we are looking for International School/ good local school which takes foreign students. My son right now is on a student pass.

Suggest you visit each, review their web materials, see the campuses, check the accreditation and curriculum. Asking here is like asking the waiter what he recommends for dinner. Why would you think the waiter would know what you would like or would be good for you?

I am a parent at SAIS. I think the comparison is that SAS is more established, SAIS is a newer school. It really depends on the family and the child as to what works for you. SAIS is currently much smaller, and the parent community is quite active. It has a small school feel where you can get to know everyone. I have a friend at SAS and they are quite happy too. I think you just have to visit each school and see which one feels right for your kid. For us, we chose SAIS because it felt more personal to us, and our kids are quite young. We thought a smaller school would be more comfortable. We also liked that the language instruction was daily at SAIS and they may do an even more intensive language program next year. Academically it is so much better than our school in the US, I have no complaints. I hear the academics aree good at SAS as well.
