You should do more research on it, I wouldn't like you to waste your money! My mother also had the disease quite bad and couldn't stop the head shaking, to let doctors play around with brain cells at your expense in Singapore especially, makes me wonder how you can trust them after all with a population of 4.8 million were does the experience come from? If anything I would be having it done were doctors have in depth experience with a track record. Probably much better off having it done in India.bentobox wrote:Hi there!
We are Indian expats, we recently moved here. We need to get a deep brain stimulation procedure done for my father-in-law who is a Parkinson's disease patient, and also an Indian national like us. The doctor at SGH has quoted S$80k++, and we would be putting in half the money (the other half will be contributed by my brother-in-law) - so roughly $50000. I want to know if any of you expats have had to take a medical loan in Singapore. If yes, could you give me a recommendation?
Thanks a ton!
Well, I saw this late, and I do agree with you ..ksl wrote: If anything I would be having it done were doctors have in depth experience with a track record. Probably much better off having it done in India.
That ought to be your first priority

personal loans - unsecured loans, are not given out for foreigners. After all, you have no surety and being foreigners, you can pack up and disappear ..bentobox wrote:We figured that was our only option... but we have been already rejected for 2 of the 4 personal loans we applied to, since we are foreigners and have no credit history in Singapore. Fingers crossed, hope something works out!
