Facial and eyebrow threading license and employment

Post by Diem87 » Tue, 31 Jan 2012 2:56 am

Hello I am a US citizen seeking to move to Singapore. I am going to school for architecture but want to use my threading experience as a fall back job for extra money and part time employment because I enjoy doing it. Is it necessary to have a US cosmetology license to practice threading in Singapore for an employer or to open my own shop? Also what procedures would I need to take to do threading in Singapore. Thanks for your help.

As a foreign employee on employment pass, one is not allowed to do part-time work (or basically any work outside of what is stated in the pass).

But since you enjoy doing it, perhaps you can think of it as a hobby, instead of as a business. Like, doing it for friends etc...
