My family and I are moving back to the US and all the quotes for shipping our things in a 20 or 40 foot container are crazy high.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to cut down on the cost?
Thanks!

Only way is to cut down on the things you have you want to ship back. You can buy a lot of things cheaply in the US. Alternative is you find an expat friend who is also relocating who's company is paying for their moving and place some things in their container.
Cost of 20ft container and movers packing at both ends would be around 10k with insurance.

I'll have to agree with JohnSin. I don't think I've found anything in Singapore that I'd *want* to keep, that I couldn't sell locally used for more than it would cost to re-purchase in the US.
Except maybe some of the higher end Polygon bikes... Those are actually pretty decent deals based on the component sets you get.

SMS is right, by excluding your second child (assuming he is male) you make your intentions very clear.
