24 / M coming to Singapore to find a job - Advice needed!

Hi Guys

I am 24 years old and currently working in the real estate / banking sector in London for the past 18 months. I graduated with Degree in Economics in 2009 and an MSc in Real Estate in 2010 both from UK universities.

I'm coming to Singapore on 25 Feb 12 for three weeks to try and find full time employment. Obviously I'm using all my contacts and getting in touch with recruitment agencies prior to coming out but any further advice / pointers on what I can do whilst I am in Singapore would be much appreciated?

I am pretty flexible with regards to type of role / sector and if anyone can help me in my quest to find a job it would be great to hear from you! Perhaps we can meet for a coffee when I get there.

With only 18 month work experience and degree in a field that is abundant here, your chances of finding a job AND then getting a work visa aren't really high.
Try to contact as many companies and headhunters (they aren't very useful here, but no harm trying) beforehand and mention that you are available for a personal discussion from .. to ..
That way, you might get a few interviews during your time here.
For a second interview (if needed) you'd have to travel to Singapore again, as most employers don't decide that fast. (Note: Singapore employers don't usually pay for such trips!)
If you are more serious about exploring the opportunities here, you should stay and job-search for 3 - 6 months.
