For Retiree's, traveling spouses and locals

Post by ksl » Sat, 21 Jan 2012 4:17 pm

In my early 60's, I'm basically free every day and have been very active lately with my mountain bike doing 80km a day, following the park connectors. Anyone wishing to join me to burn off some calories are welcome.

I also swim, go to the gym some days at Kovan, and I've just started inline skating in the last week. Falling several times with a small injury to the shoulder I can still do East Coast from the lake to Changi beach it's around trip 36km and a killer for any beginner! So any beginners who wish to go skating let me know we can arrange a day out in East Coast Park!

No need to be so aggressive on the sports as i have been, I'm thinking more recreational and fun and may do a trip around Singapore Island on the bike later on.

Busted my shoulder a few months ago, did you go see a specialist about it, anyone you can recommend?

Sorry aster I've not yet been to a doctor, thought i would give it a week or two, could be cracked i suppose, but I still have full movement. You can call in any local doctors and ask for an x-ray at Toa Payoh which is relatively cheap for an X-ray compared to specialist treatment for doing the same. If it's damaged the doctor will send you to Singapore General which is more affordable. Most specialists here have served time in the General Hospital anyway, and are really no better.
