part-time maid agency

hi,
we would like to have a maid help us about three times a week. And i checked a few agencies listed on the moderator's links and have to say that they are too expensive for me. One of them charge 600 dollar as one time agency fee and 20 Dollar for one hour babysitting for two kids.

Can anybody recommend any other agencies or any other way to find less pricy maids?

Those are the rates for part-time help through agency!
If you want it cheaper, ask around in your neighbourhood - maybe there's an aunty with more spare time than cash. I heard they start around S$12-15/hour.
Please note that only Singaporeans and PRs are allowed to do this kind of side-job - and fines are stiff for employing illegal labour. (In case of an agency, they - not you - would bear this responsibility.)

Agreed. Those type of 'aunties' are common actually. Just keep your antennae up and ask your neighbours.
