Seriously guys - don't bother... he hasn't bothered to ask his employers what type of permit (work or visa or none) he'll need. Without that we can't give a reasonable answer.

You have missed the point of this thread.

I am not employed by this company yet, i was asked if i wanted to work for them in Singapore i can here to find some information out before i answer them. Currently i work for a different company.

I'm not confused. The answer depends 100% on whether or not you need a permit to do the job. Usually 'what type of permit will I need and if any will you organise it' is one of the 1st questions to ask when working abroad. All you're doing is getting more info to be able to better assess your choice to move.
