Taxes for US Green Card holder, US Property owner in Singapore

Post by ya2012 » Fri, 13 Jan 2012 2:13 pm

Hi
I am moving to Singapore in 2012 March being a US Perm resident owning property in the US. My question is

1. Do I get advantage of holding property in the US i.e. interest deduction on the amount of tax due in the US

2. What is the maximum deduction i can have for housing allowance and outside income.

3. Do I need to be present in Singapore for 330 days for 2012 to get the benefit of deduction as an expat in the US.

4. Are there any ways of lowering the taxes in Singapore. Believe the code is very simple but i am used to the US ways of trying to find areas where u can save on taxes :)

Thanks for the help[/b]
