Laser eye surgery

Has anyone had laser eye treatment in Singapore recently as I am thinking of getting it carried out and am looking for word of mouth tips for decent outfits to check into?

My friend had it done a few months ago with the doctor at Camden - Gerry Tan - he's one of the most well known for lasik here in Singapore. I've also known a couple of other people who've had it done with him.

It was expensive - something along the lines of $8,000 from what she said which is a lot compared to the ones which advertise around $1,500 per eye but it included everything and those ones you see in the newspaper which seem cheap might have lots of additional extras once they've got you through the door.

I'm thinking of having it done too and if so I will also go to him - it's not worth going on the cheap when it's something like eyes, however it'll be a while - I'm still saving up for it
