Hi - are you allowed to post links in your signature? I notice a few of the mods do here, but can't see any rules/regulations specifically about it.

Thanks,

Cool, thanks for that SMS. I'll add my site to the sig with care, and if it's against the spirit of the law here I'll pull it down. Not interested in spamming people, just making use of a potential link on a forum I use from time to time.

Remember, you are limited to a single hyperlink OR a single line of text (800x600 resolution). You are also not allowed to refer or direct to the commercial link in the text of your messages. However, you are free to dispense your knowledge on your given expertise. As it it "Passive" advertising that we are allowing, should you consistently give good information when answering questions, you consistency will cause people to open the link if interested. You cannot just post random posts expounding on a subject unless there has been a relevant question asked. (Then, again, it becomes a form of advertising as there has been no request for the information)

We are very hard on this because all of us like this board 'clean'. Also, it's easier to monitor.

Completely understood - I used to moderate on another board and it's always nice to do things the proper way. I don't intend to push my site or do anything with the link other than get the small SEO improvement. If you ever want me to get rid of it, I'll do so straightaway.

Thanks for the clarification.
