Have you thought of speaking to IBM over here? they certainly employ a lot of people from India, so it may be in your favour!

Otherwise, its the same as everyone in the forum has been advised, contact companies directly, this is the best way, but of course look at the job forums too! You'll find that a lot of development is being done offshore now, not a lot done here as far as I know.

Good luck.

Oh, you should tell the employers you have a DP, the minimum you then need is a LOC (LEtter of Consent) as opposed to a P2 EP.

You might as well highlight 'LOOKING FOR AN IT JOB' as subject heading.

If you highlight all the big companies below why bother coming to singapore to work?!

and you are competing with the likes of peeps like me to look for a job - an alumni of Microsoft US :)

I am having 6 Years of IT experience in developing applications in PowerBuilder, Sybase, SQL Server and BizTalk Server 2004.
I am currently holding Singapore Dependent Pass (issued along with P2 Employment Pass) and will be relocating to Singapore by end of January, 2012, to join my husband.

I was trying to assess the job market in Singapore for my skillset and if some seniors in the forum could advice on what would be the best way , going about the jobhunt :)
I am now serving notice period to my current employer - XXXXXXXX as Senior System Engineer in India. Before XXXXXX I also worked with XXXXXXXX Consulting for 2 and half years.

Thanks,
Labony.

Not only that, but the moderators don't like to see people posting their CV's online in the forum. This is not a resume posting service. You are welcome to post questions about job prospects here, but if you want to post your particulars, please use the Positions Wanted listing in the classifieds section of this site, or one of the job boards.

Normally I would would just delete your post, but unfortunately, others have already responded and the thread would no longer make sense.

NutNut..Thanx!

Moderator - I am not sure if I at all posted any resume here! If mentioning the companies I have worked for is not within the rules , I will keep that in mind. Since I am new to Singapore I just wanted to take suggestions on jobhunting in Singapore from all the people here. I have found this forum informative in many ways before and hope it to be so in this case as well.

MS US Alumni - my post includes highlighting my experience, skillset, emplyment pass status also! But you only saw the company names! so sad! Good Luck!!

Let's see now......

Industry......check!
skillsets......check!
experience.....check!
job history......check!
duration of jobs.....check!
residency permit.....check!
contact by PM.....check!

As your age, race, gender & religion are illegal in western countries, I'd say it's a pretty complete CV to me with only the name missing. You even highlighted the points you are stressing. Sure appears to be a CV to me.
