Maid going back after 2 years

Post by SAGR » Thu, 29 Dec 2011 12:03 pm

Hi,
My filipino helper is going back home after completing 2 years here.
I had her home leave documents processed through an agency after renewing her contract online.

We got the following from the agency as home leave documents:

Philippines Overseas Employment Administration Overseas Employment Certificate (4 copies)
Official receipt of SGD 5.50 from Philippine Overseas Employment Administration
Pag-IBIG fund receipt of SGD 5.50

HOWEVER, In addition to this, the other helpers have received :
(OWWA) Overseas Workers Welfare Administration receipt of SGD 42
Certificate of Membership Coverage of OWWA with her name on it
A certificate from Foreign Service of the Republic of the Philippines (the embassy) stating that the employment contract between the employer and the helper has been verified and signature is genuine
The actual contract
Receipt for verification fees from the Philippines embassy in singapore with a verified stamp on the back

Now she is scared that the immigration clearance in Philippines will not allow her to exit until she shows them the contract.

the agency says that she will be allowed to exit, and because it is a renewal in singapore, this will not be a problem

Any one can help with this?

Thanks Universal,

but the agency says that the Philippines immigration will only look at the exit pass

My helper is scared that Philippines immigration will again ask for the contract etc which she does NOT have

Any idea whether the Philippines immigration will insist on the other documentation, because the agency has not given the verified contract to me.

I think between the two of you, you have just provided everyone here with a clear representation of which company NOT to go to when looking for a maid.

Happy new year - you pair of donuts......
