Docs Required for PR Application - Help!

Post by BlinkX12 » Fri, 23 Dec 2011 9:25 am

Hi all, I have been reading this forum for sometime to get myself familiarized with the requirements for PR.

I'm a Spanish woman and my husband is Singaporean citizen. We were married for 3 yrs. We are planning to apply for PR for myself with my husband as the sponsor. However, I encountered this item, "Household Census List" in the list list of documents to be supplied with application.

I have little understanding about this document. Is it an official document that I should obtain from some government agency in my country or is it just a list with details related to my family's composition? If it is so, then what information should this list contain, exactly?

One other thing is that, Is it really compulsory to provide the letter from my husband's employer with the breakdown of the salary? or just his employment letter will suffice, which also include info such as salary breakdown? I know this may be a stupid question. But I asked it because, if possible my husband do not want his employer to know that he is sponsoring me due to the office politics in his company. He has to go through his manager (who makes his life always difficult) to get a such letter which should be addressed to Controller of Immigration.

I tried to get some information related to my above questions searching this and few other forums with little success. Anyone who already been through the PR process please kindly advice. Thanks for all your inputs!

Thanks for your input, do you have any idea of the exact information should be included in it other than names, birth dates, relation ship etc...?

Name
Date of Birth
Nationality
Occupation
Relationship

* refer for example to Form V234 used for the LTVP application

Every ICA form for passess which includes the one from MOM will have a SOP on family background. Your immediate family unit will need proof of relationship such as marriage cert, birth cert, citizenship etc. Your parents and parents in law, siblings from both sides needs to be accounted for.
One reason is applying for LTSVP for your parents or in law, your sibling for sponsoring under student pass and the list goes on
Another reason is not to be a burden to the Health care system
Third comes from "person of interest" category
The list goes on.
Just answer the tooth nothing but the tooth so help me GOD. Comprehende ?

Thanks for the info. I can understand the need of ICA to know the applicant's family background. However, I was not sure what info ICA really needs when it comes to household census list. With your input and the information "JR8" mentioned. I can understand what do they really require.

Mad Scientist and JR8, thanks you guys for your replies and information provided!
