Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for sound proofing of windows in Singapore?
After doing a lot of web searching there doesn't appear to be that many places doing it. One of them charges a fee just to come take a look to prepare a quote (which I paid) but then prepared a sloppy and expensive quote which didn't match what I asked for, plus hasn't returned calls or emails since. After that disappointing experience two other companies answered my calls but one is still to call me back while the second did call back but is still to schedule an appointment.
At the end of this I will document this all for anyone's future reference and won't name and shame the one who charged me for nothing as I hope they will eventually right their wrong despite the many unanswered emails, SMSes and phone calls so far.

Check out the yellow pages for windows ... you can call them first to check if they charge for site measurement and getting a quote. Usually, they shouldnt charge for quotation. Doesnt make sense to quote without first measurement on site, right? So, how can they charge?
However, please do not just call any window installer. You need to research first on what sound proofing elements you are blocking the noise on. Some windows do not provide a good degree of sound proofing. You need to verify with company that their products can indeed sound proof. You'll get better picture after you talk to their experts. Acoustic knowledge would be good here too.

Win 10 and Outlook (latest version) are a dog. A half minute to open an email or a new window is all too common.
