Do affordable waxing services in Singapore really exist?

Post by bobypf » Thu, 15 Dec 2011 1:29 pm

Hi guys,

I've been searching the internet including this forum for recommendations for cheap waxing services in Singapore but so far I haven't found any. Most people recommend Strip or some other fcuking expensive studios but I am not looking for such. Their prices are ridiculously high for procedures which last no more than 10 minutes and I cannot believe that there are no normal places here at all. I know that most men here prefer to look like animals with even their underarm bushes left untouched but I can't stand this. Please, if someone has had waxing at affordable price here, leave their coordinates here. Preferably a phone number, not only an address.

Thanks!

I assume that you are a man, judging from your description above (and you're definitely not talking about bikini wax). The reason for ridiculously priced wax salons is because you can be assured of the hygiene standard they practise with their customers (it is indeed a hairy business).

But seriously, if cost is what you're looking for, you can just DIY using wax strips in Watson's or Guardians' for only few dollars. Pain should not be a problem for you, right, no?[/i]

+1

Without going into details....Let's just say I'm happy to pay the extra $$ at Strip for the service I receive. If the price is too cheap, well, buyer beware.

I know an expat lady who does travelling waxing and I believe she is quite reasonable, I like to be hiary to be fair, but she is a friend. Let me know if you need her details and I can pass them on via PM, not putting them on here due to advertising regulations.

Yeah, I am a man and I've been waxing my legs, my hands and my underarms every month for 7 years already. Yeah, I guess I can buy waxing strips from Guardian but can I do myself all my legs, hands and underarms? No, I don't think so. And I would probably go hairy but I won't pay $80 for my legs only in Strip - a procedure that is usually done for 10-15 minutes. For your info, I've been getting a PERFECT and highly professional service for total $35-$40 in my country for all the body parts I described. And the hygiene was definitely on par with this in Singapore. Yeah, I know what you're gonna tell me now - "Welcome to Singapore" or "Since you're here already, you should get used to the prices here". I know, I know... Just don't start it. I was just saying...

Haha, and also, I noticed that most places here charge extra for waxing the toes! WTF?! Aren't the toes part of the legs???

Well...every time I get a full leg wax at the same place that everyone seems to hate so much they always wax my toes too...despite there not being any hair there, at no extra charge. A testament to Singaporeans tendency to stick to protocol...Just sayin'

To my knowledge, some places offer a significantly lower rate for first time customers! Like maybe 20-305 cheaper than the original rate? You can do that I guess?

It's because of that damned FB link. Fortunately I can no longer see it at the bottom of the page thank to disconnect.me.
