Looking for a good Montessori school in Singapore East Coast

Post by pam004 » Mon, 12 Dec 2011 1:28 am

Hi all,

Am looking around for good Montessori schools for my 2 year old daughter. Possibly put her in the school starting in March 2012 when she is 2.5 years old.

Can anyone suggest a good Montessori school in the East Coast area?

Thanks
Pam

Looks like my daughter is the same age as yours and we are also looking for a new preschool for her. I am mainly looking at full-time school + child care till evening as both of us work full time. Most montessori's I contacted do not work on those hours.
I am going to visit Brighton in Siglap this week.
I have no recommendations though

We visited Brighton on Frankel Avenue today and they did not blow us away. We are not looking only for montessoris and we are leaning towards Shaws right now.

Maybe you can take a look at Babyplanet at Jalan Ulu Siglap.

Good Montessori

Post by mangla » Sat, 24 Dec 2011 9:19 am

Hi there,

My daughter attended Montessori for Little Giants on Joo Chiat Rd opposite the new 112 Katong mall. The teachers were fantastic, the atmosphere and cleanliness was brilliant and all the materials were brand new.

The only downfall was that it didn't have a garden, but other than that my daughter loved it.

Hope this helps.

ACE Montessori House in Jalan Kembangan. They don't have garden if your are looking for a school with outdoor playground. But my kid is very happy there and the teachers are fantastic. Small class size: usually less than 10 children/class. My son spent most of his nursery year with only 4 other classmates.

If you don't mind the Reggio Emilia approach, EtonHouse is fantastic.

Pam,

Did you end up finding any Montessori school that you like? We are moving to Singapore Spring 2013 and looking for a good Montessori school too. Please let me know.

Thanks a lot,
