Diabetes - Insulin availability and where to buy?

Post by cjcorney » Wed, 07 Dec 2011 11:35 am

Hi,

Just moved to SG from the UK and need to find out which types of insulins (I use Novo Rapid and Levermir) are available and where I can buy them but so far can find no useful resources on the web or pharmacy websites.

Also need to find out if I can buy Levothyroxine tablets over the counter too?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Chris

i know levemir is available in singapore but you will probably not find much information about it on the internet.

try the day pharmacy at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. i'm sure you can ask about novorapid also.

levothyroxine is not OTC in singapore.

Singapore is very strict with these things. you will not be able to get those products without visiting a GP.

However you can order online and have it shipped here. The health board will make you sign saying its for personal use only. They may even ask for your doctors prescription note from the UK
