Thx guys!

Unfortunately I have 2 couples already coming for 2.5 weeks each...and what I don't want is them to winch on how bad they slept!! Or worse, my sister beeing grumpy all day because of a bad night sleep - oh joy!! ;)

No, seriously, a bed for 300$ would just be fine!

Is this the warehouse you ment?

Or was it the Furniture Mall?

Anyway, maybe I just have to convince my husband now to buy online.

All the shops we have been/found were far too expensive for only a guest bed!

Thx
have you heard of this place called "IKEA" ???? :)

Well, at Ikea, you can pick a cheap bed frame + mattress for less than 280 $

IKEA!? Never heard of it.... ;)

Been there, seen it, and I didn't find a bed + slate + matress for 280$. You must have dreamed that. (just checked again - no way of 280$ for a Queen bed).

err .. two years ago, I did get the complete bed + frame set, for 220 $ and a month ago, I still saw the promo at 280 $ - let me locate the specific items.. hang in there ..

BTW, I meant, Ikea at Tampines .. not sure if Alexandra has the same inventory ..

Doesn't make creaking noise, and is comfortable for a 'guest' :) :)

That bed was $308, not $280. Unless you plan on laying the mattress on the floor (I bought a bed at IKEA last month and walked all over the Tampines store more than I care to admit to). You forgot to add the $30 slatted base that supports the mattress in the bedframe. That come up to $308. FAIL. Plus you will need to ship it to your home from the store (that can add around another $70 or more! :o

So, add a bag of Swedish meatballs to that and the petrol to get out there and oops! $400 gone.

@sundaymorningstaple - and don't forget the hotdog + icecream on the way out! AND the cookies!! :D

No, don't think I will go to IKEA for my guest bed. But for that bunk bed it think is worth having a look... or maybe, I have seen something at Star furniture.

Unfortunately there is not much on the web site but there is a big branch at Labrador Park right at the MRT station (yellow CC line). Or a little one at the Furniture Mall beach road.

Well, the lady asked for "Guest Beds" so we are not on Lofts anymore .. :P

and my 220 came all inclusive, yes, of course, I had to pay for delivery, though I fixed it myself.

if not in a rush, wait for the Ikea promo ..

PS: out of curiosity, I called Tampines Ikea, and they said "NO STOCK, ALEXANDRA HAS STOCK " .. I understand why you didn't see it in Tampines :P :P :P

PS: the Swedish meatballs don't excite me .. ;)

Would your Lordship be happy, if I scanned and sent you a copy of my receipts ? :) :) Or maybe it is not worth my effort trying to find them and scan them to prove the price I paid ..

And would that also solve the lady's problem here ??

I know I am not the flavour of the month in your calender, and that doesn't mean you gotta whack me ..

Oh, I am not gonna shine brighter than you ... Chief .. (that I have a bit more hair is irrelevant .. )

Nobody said you didn't pay $220. After all, that was 2 years ago.
