Hi everyone,
I'm here at Singapore for work and I'm planning on establishing an online business selling digital books, marketing services and web development services.
I just want to ask you since I know a lot of you are very helpful and knowledgeable about this matter.
What are the Singapore laws that I should know and where can I read more/ask more about them? I want my business to be a good one and any help from you guys or pointing to the right direction would be a great help to me.
Thanks in advance!

If you are on a work pass here you cannot start your own company online or offline. If you are found out, you will be toss out of the country.
So, assuming you have come here on an EntrePass (the only way you are going to be able to set of a legal business, you should start with ACRA, CPF, IRAS & MOM. If you get through all of those and you are on a entrepass you should be in good shape. If you don't have an EntrePass, you might as well get on the next plane out of Changi.

And don't forget, if you are selling literature of any kind in Singapore, you need to speak to MICA....sundaymorningstaple wrote:If you are on a work pass here you cannot start your own company online or offline. If you are found out, you will be toss out of the country.

I was going to point that out, but then saw the time stamp of the post and just figured that judgement may well have been slightly impaired at that point....
