This incident happen a about a year ago during the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival.
I went to Yishun 10 to catch a midnite comedy show. There wasn't much people in that particular cinema. I can't revealed the theatre number.
We got a side seat which don\'t have a very good view towards the screen.Hence, we waited a while after the adverstiments before we decided to shift to the back seats on the middle row.
I still remember its the second last row of the middle platform of seats. When I first sat down, being a observant person, I notice that the secong seat to my left was especially DARK.
I felt a chill run down my spine but I just attribute the chill to the cinema air-con.
There was no one on either side of us. The show started. Its was pretty funny. At one of the funny scene when everyone is laughing ( including me). my head was suddenly and FORCEFULLY being twisted to the left.
OF COURSE I AM SHOCKED!! I tried in vain to turn my head back. At this point, my boyfriend noticed that I was not looking at the screen and asked me what was wrong.
Funny thing was, at that point, I could turn my head back. I look around the last row and to the left and right of our seat. NO ONE!
Not wanting to make him worry, I told him that I am alright even though I am quite pissed!
The show continued. 10 mins later,SOMETHING TWIST MY HEAD AGAIN!!! I do not know why I felt no fear at that time, only anger for being interrupted from the movie.
I tried again to move my head back, but I CAN\'T!!! Its then that my temper got the better of me and I splurted out some profanities (bad words) at whatever, LOUD!
The grip immediately stop! However, I shocked my boyfriend and some of the moviegoers. But hey! who got the time to think so much when this sort of thing happen on Hungry Ghost Festival.
I just grab hold of my boyfriend hand and change seats. I am not about to wasted $17 for something like that.
After the show, I related the incident to my boyfriend. He was shocked at what happened.
I was determined to find out what happened! Hence I did some research on the paranormal field.
It happen that in Chinese, there are some cinema seats called 'Tuo Di Wei' which means seats which are specially reserved for friends on the other side.
It happen that I change seats and sat on seats which are not MINE...
Hence, a word of advice for movie goers..... don't change seats unecessary & especially during the seventh month of Hungry Ghost Festival.
