Decent barber

Post by irljoe » Sun, 04 Dec 2011 3:55 pm

I know this has come up a few times before here, but I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a decent barber in Singapore (preferably near the city centre). I'm just looking for a straight forward hair cut, but have heard so many horror stories that I thought it best to ask. Frankly, I don't care how much it costs, I just want a decent cut and I'd rather they not get carried away with styling my hair.

agree with the above poster.

Also, most any Malay or Indian barber in you HDB town centres. Usually around $8 and do a reasonable job. That's all I used up to three years ago. Now I do my own! (nutnut can vouch for that!) Headblade!
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers

I'm a bit funny about the Malay and Indian Barbers to be fair, due to the large amount of Hep B in Singapore, I went to a place and they didn't clean the razor in between cuts.... I am sure most are fine, but that was not pleasant and I walked out.

Yes, SMS doesn't need a barber anymore, a waxer instead ;)

Well, as I say, I don't care so much about price. I really don't get my hair cut all that often. Do you know if any of the good hotels have barbers? I guess somewhere like that is the most likely to be accustomed to dealing with westerners on a regular basis.
