The Seaview Condominium at Amber Road

Post by Anamika » Fri, 25 Nov 2011 11:34 am

Hello all!

Greetings from Bangalore, India! We are relocating to SG early next year and have been looking at condominiums in the East. After going through a lot of property pics and info, we have zeroed down our search to two condos viz:

1. The Seaview at Amber Road
2. Costa Del Sol at Bayshore Road

The units at The Seaview look very beautiful with a good sized balcony, great facilities and wonderful landscaping. However, I happened to read that the condo itself has been plagued with some defects already. Can anyone help
us out with some feedback regarding this particular condo? Is it advisable to go ahead with this choice? Kindly help.

Thanks and best regards,
Anamika

Thank you for the reply, Saint. We are not particular about the view, but the location, amenities and the layout as such. Since we are going to be in SG for a long time, we are even considering buying a unit there as it is a Freehold condo which certainly looks beautiful and spacious, the location too is just perfect. The only hitch however is the reported defects there, so it would be great to get some feedback from people who have lived / live at The Seaview. Thanks in advance! - Anamika

My advice is, if in doubt, don't buy. It already has a bad reputation and you may have difficulty selling it later. As the development age, more problems may surface. Why buy something you may regret.

The Esta is very near The Sea View. It is also freehold. You may want to consider that instead.

Thank you for the reply tmv. Appreciate it. Will definitely take a look at Esta. Now that the SG govt has introduced an additional stamp duty of 10% for new purchases by foreign investors, our plans to buy a condo is on hold. Thanks again for replying!
