Is there any risk that spammers/trolls are using emails that are not theirs, exactly for the purpose of getting those who own these emails spammed?

It may sound a bit like a James Bond conspiracy but it happened to me in the past, someone who had something against me started to post up my email address everywhere on the internet, along with messages saying I'm a gay wh*re...

My point is, some of the emails you've posted up in this thread are obviously one-use type or business-owned, but some seem to be personnal emails, and therefore how do we make sure that the person owning this email is actually the spammer/troll?

Hi,

Interesting what you say. Can you give me an example of a message that I consider spam, that you consider as a 'personal message'. I'm interested how our perspectives differ.

JR8, the point here is that kikeo believes that some of these spammers are using emails of people that may not be associated with the post and are maliciusly trying to spread their email address (like Kikeo's gay whore thing) and as such is stating we are facilitating the spamming of potentially innocent people.

It's kinda like the "no death sentence" argument, where people say "what if you kill someone who isn't guilty?"

In my opinion Kikeo, if if looks like a duck, it quacks like a duck and it shits by the pond like a duck, you can be pretty sure it's a duck. These spam messages all quack when they are posted in the forum, there is absolutely no doubt about that!
