Hi all,
My wife applied for SG PR in early october back in singapore and we got the letter today saying its been approved in principle, and she will need to complete formalities down in the immigration within 2 months.
The sticking point is we are both working overseas currently and won't be going back in such short term.
Anyone with similar experience managed to have the approval in principle extended or have the application completed in any of the overseas high commission?
many thanks!

Nope, won't be extended nor will it be allowed to be completed outside of Singapore. Do you know what the letters PR actually stand for? Permanent Resident. You are neither permanent nor even resident. Therefore it won't fly.
Additionally, your situation has changed since the application was made. Did you notify them of the changes as you were required to do?

I stand corrected. That's what I get for not going back to his profile and reading ALL 4 of his posts (back to 2007).
His current post did not indicate his nationality so I assumed he was not local either. In fact, his case is probably even more of a shoe-in than Saint's was as Singapore is a patriarchal society anyway with the wife assumed to follow the husband.
