Hi
I would like to buy a
property in Singapore. I am an UK expatriate and do not have any work permits or similar.
What are the options please ?
If I do purchase a property, am I allowed to rent it out when not required ?

You can buy certain properties, but you can't get residency visas by doing so.

A simple search through the forum, other links on the homepage of
www.singaporeexpats.com and the web in general will get you your answer...
But be warned ...
property in Singapore is not for the fainthearted. If you don't know your stuff and are not willing to do the homework (and rely on the advice of a random bunch of strangers) then best stay at home.

If you buy a property that's tenanted, what are the chances that the tenant will move? What's a fair compensation to the tenant?
