Don't count on the bigger screen. http://thenextweb.com/apple/2011/10/07/ ... er-than-4/Sir wrote:iPhone 5 will have a new shap body, and a bigger screen tho.
You can find a Galaxy note for less than an iPhone 4s? I've found them close, but thats only because it's easy to find Samsung type phones on big mark-downs from MSRP. Apple never budges.Sir wrote:I've just been doing a comparison between Motorola Razr, Samsung Galaxy Note and the iPhone.
While razr is probably the coolest, and the galaxy the biggest, i think just for the number of apps the iphone is probably the best.. for now.
Of course, its also the most expensive and looks the worst. (same deisgn for 5 years?? cumon apple)
iPhone 5 will have a new shap body, and a bigger screen tho.
Well, I've seen an intelligent person reduced to a drooling half-wit at just the prospect of an incremental update of a phone. I seriously don't understand the emptiness in their soul that getting the latest and the greatest lust-object fills. I mean the guy made it a habit to view all the videos available on the internet--reviews, unboxing, trade show exhibits, even promotional vids--until he bought the phone.aster wrote:I never like going for new models with phones. When the first iPhone came out I waited until the 3GS came out before I bought one.
When iPhone 4 came out I also waited, and only recently got the 4S model. In fact I was quite happy that they released a 4S instead of going straight to 5... as I would have had to wait even longer.
That was the most over-blown media hyped non-issue ever.aster wrote:like the signal-loss issue that the 4 had which was dealt with and fixed in the 4S model.
That's a contract price, not MSRP, hardly fair to compare as those are being sold at losses. Also, the iPhone plan is actually $36, not 39, (http://www.m1.com.sg/iPhone/plans.html) and the Galaxy Note plan you're quoting includes no data at all. Hardly a fair comparison at all.Sir wrote:iphone4S 16GB m1 Valuesurf $510 + 2yr @ $39 = 1446
Galaxy Note m1 Sunsaver $628 + 2yr @ $25.68 = 1244.32
so note is cheaper, unless im missing something?
...
yes, maybe rumor but its rumor from the guy who sais iPhone 5 wouldnt be out last autumn, the guy whos very hig up in foxconn, and the guy who says the factories are preparing to start manufacturing the iP5s

UK does't give a toss about European laws and locks all phones that i know of unless you pay top $ for an unlocked one.Strong Eagle wrote:If this is the case, then why are there posts from people with O2 contracts wanting to unlock?aster wrote:EU laws prohibit locking down phones as well, so no different in this regard. But overall European cellphone carriers are not years but decades ahead of companies here in terms of competitiveness, technology, customer service and everything else in general...Strong Eagle wrote:By law, all phones sold in Singapore must be unlocked, including those sold by the carriers. Much better than US or Europe.
Of course the US is also playing catch-up, due to simply being the last to join the race...
This is one of the coolest things I've heard recently.nakatago wrote:
