Haha!

That initial sprint down the hall is spot on. You need to imagine, it's not a very efficient sprint- just one that is extremely loud and full of effort with minimal results. Kind of like in a dream where you're running and stomping but getting nowhere. A lot of up and down, bouncing movement but not much distance per step. And not really entertaining to watch, b/c unless I stand up I can't see the people doing it over my cubicle wall.

Ha, I thought it was just my boss's secretary. Same inefficient heel clacking Elbow described. She's an amazon sized woman in her late 50's in high heels... I worry about her sometimes.

Hey guys, thanks for the laugh... :D Moreover, now I know the title of that funny running song... Yakety Sax. This is a good theme song for the kiasu moments I've observed here. :)

@Eibow:

Here's another song you could play in your head whenever you see people in your office futilely run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqg3l3r_DRI. Better yet, put a clip on your computer and just play it (with speakers on!) when you see a runner.

You're welcome.

Haha I'm cracking up at all those. Little different though- all these songs/videos imply an on going chase of some length, not sporadic, bursts of loud obnoxious bursts of sprints. I really need to get a video of it, but I feel like everyone MUST know what I'm talking about seeing as it's so common here.
