Did they look after you and make sure you got your discounts and deals?

Richie
I didn't know about any discounts, so I didn't ask. I'd have to look at my receipt. Regardless, I would love to go back!

Allow me to give my view. Richie, your venue choice was pants! I got there around 9.30pm and they closed at 10pm. I didn;t even get any food options and had 1 beer. So much for looking after us!

If it's not broken, don't fix it. The last place was good and next time I vote for that!

The rest of you - you bunch of sell-outs! Amazing how many illnesses and excuses come to fruition on a Friday at 5pm! :P

And I was wondering why ksl was broadcasting here only shortly after midnight...

Got to agree with Billy B on the closing time 10pm, think the last orders for food was 9pm! Was it a setup :P  I was too busy drinking vinegar and encouraging the staff, to place an order  So my time wasn't really wasted. Moral of the story, Keep a 200 ml bottle of concentrate blackcurrant vinegar handy and try the rum & black

Though I would think SMS may have some good choice places too out in the sticks, the Kovan cafe used to have amateur grp playing on a Friday night, though beer brands are few.

Also the dog & bone were saint visits was okay, quite busy with expats and a little pricey too, though i expect there are some good hawker stalls that are reasonable in the east coast area. Roll on 2012

Yep, he sure is. Just like a broken record or a one track mind. But he's a well meaning bloke! He's been with me since the beginning when I first mooted the first gathering a year or so ago.

Billy, I didn't post my critique on the open board, but critique it I did. Needless to say it was a mixed review and changes would need to be made if we decide to give it another try. Both in attendance and in closing hours.

Having said that, I already pointed out in Oct that another in Nov might not be a good idea due to the proximity to the holiday season and home leaves and other BS. (longer working hours to compensate for the year end leaves and such?)

I agree on the sentiment..... Bring on 2012! ;-)

Actually it is, full recovery within an hour! Breaks down the alcohol into more vinegar!

JR8, I see you make SMS laugh! Actually I rarely go on about vinegar, unless someone shows an interest.
Considering i'm on the wagon, the blackcurrant serves a good cause for alternative non alcoholic beverages, though i was polite and asked the restaurant if they minded, that i drank my own choice of beverage, while on the wagon  Of course i gave them a bottle to share with the staff and bingo, they all liked it.

It's quite normal for peoples curiosity to ask why i drink that beverage, after all more acid in the gut can't be good! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14842999 though the elk seems to think apple acid is just fine!
