I think when I did the HIV test for e-pass it cost about $40+. I was just wondering if everything would cost around that much for just one thing. I want to check Iron levels and maybe for Celiac Disease as well.
I called Singhealth polyclinic today and finally got through to the lab and they couldn't have been any less helpful. She said the price depends on what test the doctor orders, and even after I told her what test to do she still wouldn't advise the price. I mean seriously I just wanted a ball park range but she said go and see the doctor first, but there's no point in going if the blood tests are a complete ripoff, I'll just wait 2 months until I go back home (and hopefully not die in the meantime).
For basic test, HIV, Hepa B and such single tests, 28$, for full Test including multiple options, go from 75 $ to 125 $
Talk to the doctor, where you want to get it done - any GP can do it for you .. they have the list based on the lab they use. And they share the price list including the tests covered, with the patient - its not like they says "Choose package A, B, or C without telling you what is what .. and avoid redundant testing ..
Prices approximate as above ..
Some doctors charge for consultation on top of the above, some dont/
Seriously, without a doctor's referral, most Labs don't entertain you, and Singhealth was following their protocols. And the cost of referral is not much, as most doctors don't charge consultation for such tests.
I can let you know tomorrow what is the charge for iron level check.
If you need specifically ..
