A friend of mine is getting married and she has decided that I will be her photographer!
It's an outdoor wedding and I'm planning to use a DSLR. The problem is, although I know what camera I'm getting, I have completely no idea where to get it from.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can go? Perhaps somewhere in City Hall because I don't want to travel too far.

Funan:
* Alan Photo -- mixed bag; will try to sell you other stuff but it seems you know your way around, you won't get 'upsold'
* Challenger -- you may get extras which can be a bargain or not (depending on which extras/accessories you get); is ok to get starter kits
* Harvey Norman --ditto
* Courts -- ditto
* John 3:16 -- best service but not necessarily the best price. Will give you honest and straight answers to your questions even if you're a complete noob. Closed on Sundays, though.
* SLR Revolution -- new player on the block; they seem ok; haven't heard any horror stories but their prices can be competitive
Peninsula Plaza:
* Cathay Photo -- not necessarily the best price but probably the biggest inventory.
You can call ahead to ask them for prices for specific items--Alan Photo, John 3:16 and Cathay Photo, at least pick up the phone and has no qualms quoting you their prices (others; haven't tried calling them). Courts, though, post prices on their website.
Shop around and good luck.
