Do cable companies offer american channel options? Sports packages etc.? Which cable company would you recommend?

Do a search either here or google for Singtel or Starhub, both have packages with different weightages for different types of programming which do include "some" selected US programs. Singtel is more Sports based, while Starhub is more family oriented. What you really need to do it check out their online sites for the actual program listings.

The various attributes have been discussed here on numerous occasions regarding costs, value for money, customer service, etc., etc., It's a mixed bag to be sure. Also check out fiberoptic vrs cable while you are at it. There are also all inclusive packages (e.g., broadband, mobile, TV etc).

Neither are particularly heavy into US sports though. Think Slingbox or similar. Very popular option amongst our readers here (or variations of something internet based ) and have been discussed at length as well.
