Relocating, but are there any African American networks?

Post by cjseoul » Wed, 02 Nov 2011 6:00 pm

Hello I am currently living in Seoul but would love to relocate to another part of Asia, so I am looking at Singapore and KL. Are there many African Americans in Singapore or at least networks for expats to do some business and social networking?
Thanks

Hi cjseoul,

We'd love to welcome another American--Singapore is an interesting place. There is the American Association and the American Chamber of Commerce. Both are heavy on the networking. The American Club is a members only venue, but one you'd have a chance of being admitted since you're an American. They also host a lot of events and can help with the settling in process.

Unfortunately I don't know of African American groups in town--if there is one. BUT, you could probably start one! There are some American women groups and professional womens groups but since I'm a woman of course that's what I researched before the more.

Hope you find what you're looking for!
