I'm not saying its worst than Tiger...thats why i hope those who have flew previously w Tiger and Jetstar or hv friends flying w them to give some advise here.mkisses wrote: I will be going tomorrow morning. But are you sure it's worse than tiger? Cause from what I heard, Tiger doesn't provide transport, even after midnight, and they don't provide food on flight. Also, they do not have layovers, which means its all turnover flights.
On the other hand, during my first meeting with scoot, they said that there will be layovers (thus, allowance will be given = definitely higher pay then tiger), and food will be provided during flights.
My friend who got in through the previous batch signed on the spot and so did some of the forumers here. I'm sure if it's bad, they wouldn't have signed on the spot?

I want to try for it, for a year at least and see how far I can go and take it as this is what I currently want to do. Worse case scenario, after a year, I can always fall back to ground jobs (like now) and still earn the same as per before. It's only a year difference, so the pay factor shouldn't fluctuate so much.
I've been in sales before, I can always go back to doing that after this year. So, why not try something right now, since I have the chance? ;D
Good luck to all!
Oh ya.. the 1.6k-1.8k max is take-home pay, with CPF deducted. On average they will take home between 1.3-1.6k.mkisses wrote:Mid feb, scoot came to my school to recruit. During then, they told us the pay and privileges.
Based on what I read, I think jetstar and tiger's pay max would be 1.6-1.8k when the roster is good. With mainly turnover, means no allowance. Rmb tht even tho per hour flying for scoot is $7/hr, there will be allowance whn u have layovers.
For silkair, they have high service requirements. Since they're full-service carrier. On the other hand, scoot is more of casual. So workload is lesser. You can't really compare pay when it's two different types of carriers. Furthermore it's easily tough to get in silkair, hteres skin check like sq too.
I was from the 830 batch, going for contract briefing tmr. My 2 friends haven receive the calls either so I think they're still evaluating! Don't lose hope!e.iman wrote:Hi girls,
