Best French baguette in town

Post by resm » Sun, 06 Nov 2011 7:50 pm

Try "Bread Project" at Joo Chiat Road.
They have baguette made the artisan way as only the French can make.
I love their bread, really European style and not adjusted to local soft bread stuff.

Check- out their website
PROUT....the only way out !

By the way, you better call before going there and make a reservation for your bread, they sell as fast as they can produce !

Since what has this got to do with business for sale?

Anyway, I got a nice (over priced, but nice) baguette from The Cheese Shop in HV, it is run by a French bloke and the baguettes are superb, $6 each though,.... A little more than you'd expect to pay in the Dordogne ;)

Heard a PAUL has opened or is about to, now the location slipped my mind but it's somewhere central. Another other very famous French brand of bakery is opening this year, I think it's a Thierry Patisserie.

Although I expect their prices to be insanely high, those two being already expensive in France, it could be a strong competition for anyone willing to go the french bakery way.

Paul is opening in Takashimaya. 3rd floor. I think it used to be coffee club or something. I was checking last weekend and its still renovating. It is supposed to be opened at the end of December, but its owned by French right.
