Crafting Supplies

Post by wannamove » Mon, 24 Oct 2011 10:29 am

I am assuming there is a place where I can pick up crafting supplies like pipe cleaners, construction paper, tissue paper etc.

Suggestions?

There's a place in Bras Basah Complex but I forgot where exactly. It's in one of the the threads so you could search for it. Also, look into Art Friend; there are stores all over the island.

Daiso is a $2 store from Japan. We get all our craft supplies there. They have one at VivoCity and in the basement of Ion on Orchard Road.

Yep, Daiso is excellent, but if you are after something specific then there's a place in B1 Raffles City Mall (it looks small from the outside but is quite large) It's not cheap though!

Is this for kids or for craft as in home made cards etc?

Art Friend is a good place to buy crafting stuff (there is one in the Bras Basah Complex - Level 3 I think - and one on level 4 of Ngee Ann City on Orchard Rd).

Spotlight (level 5) at Plaza singapura is good too for some stuff but they do lots of material/wool/sewing things too whereas Art Friend is more specialised.

Daiso is great for cheap things - everything is $2 (quite a few branches around).

There's also Popular which has some craft items, but it's mainly stationery - cheaper than a lot of shops selling similar things though.

Dicovered a good stock of craft supplies like glitter, glue, pipe cleaners, paints, canvas, cross-stitch kits etc at the small stationery shop on Tanjong Katong Rd across from the Canadian school. You will need to dig through but there are some great things to be found.

I think I saw something like that but I am not 100% sure - it is kind of small and treasures around every corner (if you are a craftaholic) and I do not remember much other than the stuff I picked up

Sorry could not help more
