Post by Howdy_Ags » Fri, 21 Oct 2011 8:59 am

I am bored out of my wits. Looking at heading out to Batam. Any one want to join up and hit some Batam clubs?

I'd go somewhere else instead - like Bintan.

Batam is all concrete and a bit of a dump. Unless of course you like golf and sex games, or both.....

Concrete Golf Courses?

I am interested in Batam to be fair, I have heard similar before, surely there is more to it than hookers, dangerous bars and Golf courses?

It's like saying Scotland is full of Golf Courses and Alcoholics.....

It is isn't it?!

Best to hop over to Batam and check it out for yourself. It's only 1 hour by ferry and its cheap. There is a great seafood place built out on the river where you get the some of the freshest fish I've tasted. You basically pick and choose your fish from the keep baskets and they cook it there and then.

Strong Eagle plays golf there regularly - maybe he can give you advice on the courses if that's the angle you are looking for?

You do know it's where the Singaporeans go to satisfy their sexual appetites?

Hahaha, I will refrain from answering that one! there are plenty of golf courses that's for sure ;)

Fish sounds good, I have high standards on freshness, I think I'll have to try it out.

I have been planning to go to Batam to play golf with an ex-colleague of mine and some of her friends, I have never got around to it unfortunately, always something on...

I am aware of the locals having their mistress' in Batam, not my personal cuppa tea to be fair, but whatever floats your boat!

Hey Howdy

I have been to Batam and Bintan and honestly speaking there is not much night life in Batam ( I was quite disappointed ) norwithstanding is always full of smoke.

Singapore is better for night life for sure .

If you need more info, let me know, more than happy to help

cheers
