Either way, $30 bucks is only "close" to double what Im used to, much better than 5X! I suppose I have only been around mostly central areas. And 750 ml is also what they sell back home, the litre was just a nice surprise ever 3 or so months!

I will report back, as I am sure this is extremely useful information to many.

Sieng Siong Supermarkets are also quite reasonable on some spirits too especially the vodka.
Went here on Friday after work- GREAT suggestion, thank you so much! Ended up getting a couple bottles of JW for 30 bucks each. The shop owner was also very kind, him and his family run the "store." While I was making my selection, I was even offered a drink of a local whiskey.

Again, highly recommended.

On Serangoon, right hand side, just before you reach the turn for Mustafa's. There is a bottle store... prices OK... and 3 doors down an Indian shop that sells electronics and booze... best prices in town... $42 for JW Red and Dewars. Will order brands if you want them.

Mustafa is Muslim-run and thus has a strict No Alcohol policy.
You must have been somewhere else!

Whisky or is it Whiskey

Post by TFNG » Tue, 28 Feb 2012 6:55 pm

All,

I have this 1-litre bottle of 12 year old single malt scotch whisky (Glenfiddich) that I brought with me to SG.

The funny thing is .....

I don't drink.

So what are you suggesting?

I figured a bottle of something could help grease the wheels....

Getting an invite to join the A-list members of this forum for a meal would be a bottle of Whisky well spent. That is ...

If I don't needed it to get/keep my Job
If I don't need it to get an apt. :o
If I don't need it to get my EP :P
