Nexus S no longer sold by Singtel/M1?

Post by Shadowhawk » Sun, 16 Oct 2011 3:10 am

I'm moving to Singapore in about 10 weeks, and I was planning on getting a Samsung Nexus S to use while I'm there. I can get one here in Canada for $350, but was thinking that the phone + contract in Singapore would be cheaper.

According to Google (http://www.google.com/phone/detail/nexus-s), Singtel and M1 carry the Nexus S, but when I get onto both Singtel and M1's websites, Nexus S isn't listed...am I missing something here? Is Nexus S still usable in Singapore?

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sure, it's useable, but it's no longer the newest model, therefore the Telco's don't carry them any longer. You can find one probably in a local mobile phone shop though, but is will be more expensive as it may or may not be tied to a contract. The Telco's only carry the newest models. If they didn't, how would they churn contracts for upgrades? ;-)
