Is staying in JB better than Singapore

I am Malaysian. I need some advice from anyone here. I am thinking to look for a job in Singapore. What is the best place to live before having a job there? I am not currently in JB. Actually I am from Sabah.
Considering having the low budget.
how is the economic in Singapore now?

Can anyone share their experience here?

Depends on your requirements, JB is cheaper for sure and as a Malaysian coming in and out of SG daily is not going to cause too many issues in regards to filling up your passport etc, however, you will have to leave early and return late. I know a couple of Malaysian friends who travel the causeways daily and it poses long wait times mainly, property is very expensive in Singapore, so depends on your budget.
